As you start to walk out on the way, the way appears.

Welcome, Fellow Wayfarer!
You’ve arrived at the first step of a very special journey… one that could change your life.
This is your path to the profound practice of walking in stillness.
Here you’ll find everything you need to craft and engage in a personally transformative walking journey… and the many benefits in store when you engage in this ancient hallowed tradition.
What is the Mystic Path?
The Mystic Path is the unfolding of a state of being… an inner sanctuary… the place where stillness emerges within you. You step onto the Mystic Path and into this state of being through the act of immersive walking.
It’s a modern pilgrimage practice with roots in millennia-old traditions.
This is a gentle practice, with built-in adaptability to the needs of your body, mind, and spirit each day on the trail.
Is it for you?
- If you want to tune out all of the noise and connect more deeply to your inner wisdom, this is for you.
- If you are seeking a way to synchronize with the pace of nature’s rhythms, this is for you.
- If you’re after meaningful travel over escapism travel, this is for you.
- If you are looking for answers, this ancient practice is designed to help you find them.
The Mystic Path is for those who are looking for something more, something deeper– a more enriching and impactful journey experience.
The person leaving your front door will not be the same person who returns.

The Mystic Path basic tenets.
- It’s not the number of miles that matters. It’s what you do with the miles that counts.
- Keep your daily backpack-carrying mileage moderate. Then add as much spontaneous “wandering” mileage as you like after dropping off your pack at your lodgings.
- Schedule Rest & Integrate Days to keep your body healthy and to take your journey experience to a deeper level.
- Consider regular walking trails for your journey (rather than established pilgrimage routes) to increase your regional options and your opportunity for solitude. (Though established pilgrimage routes can be great too).
- Plan your multi-day route by choosing lodgings that are moderate walking distances from one to the next… or choose ready-made Mystic Path Mobile Route Maps, pre-divided into walking Segments with included lodgings booking links.
(Continued…)
The Mystic Path basic tenets (continued)
- Don’t pack more than you can comfortably carry.
- Physically train before your journey if you want to carry more.
- Immersive walking (unhurried walking with focus) is, in itself, a transformative process. Adding optional supplementary immersion practices can build on this practice and take your walking to a deeper place.
- The state of walking in stillness is the goal and result of immersive walking. It’s the space you create within that calmly waits in receptiveness to be filled by what you need. It allows your own inner wisdom to surface and make itself known and heard.
- Pilgrimage need not be all seriousness, hardship, and deprivation– joy is sacred and balance is key.
